This post may be similar to my previous post. But this is just burning in me. I realize I don’t always say things that make people feel good. Sometimes I speak of the scriptures as I understand them. We may not always agree. If someone is offended by that., then so be it. It doesn’t matter what I say or do. Or even how nice I may state my case, someone will most likely get offended. With that being said, I know I can’t let that be may compass or guide to where Yah is ordering my steps. I have to tell the truth as He teaches me. If you disagree, fine. I can have conversation with you. If you are offended, you need to search your heart to know why you are offended. And finally, I’m always open to the fact I may be wrong. I have been wrong many times before.
Love of Messiah
Speaking in love, which the Messiah did many times, He often offended many. I think He must have greatly offended some people if they demanded His crucifixion. Something they knew would cause great suffering, and even more surprising, a form of punishment even their own Torah did not allow. Yet He never failed to speak the truth no matter the person’s reaction or consequences. Now that’s real love!
Please don’t let yourselves be deceived. There is much deception and misunderstanding of the redemption by the blood of Messiah. Just because we are redeemed by the blood does not give us the freedom to continue in sin as some think seem to think. The Love of God gives the way to salvation. But you must belief and be transformed by the renewing of mind.
Rom 12:1 I call upon you, therefore, brothers, through the compassion of Elohim, to present your bodies a living offering – set-apart, well-pleasing to Elohim – your reasonable worship.
Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you prove what is that good and well-pleasing and perfect desire of Elohim.
Rom 6:1 What, then, shall we say? Shall we continue in sin, to let favor increase?
Rom 6:2 Let it not be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? Footnote: See Rom. 8:13, Col. 3:3, 1 Peter 2:24.
Rom 6:3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were immersed into Messiah Yeshua) were immersed into His death?
Rom 6:4 We were therefore buried with Him through immersion into death, that as Messiah was raised from the dead by the esteem of the Father, so also we should walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 For if we have come to be grown together in the likeness of His death, we shall be also of the resurrection,
Rom 6:6 knowing this, that our old man was impaled with Him, so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, to serve sin no longer.
Rom 6:7 For he who has died has been made right from sin.
Rom 6:8 And if we died with Messiah, we believe that we shall also live with Him,
Rom 6:9 knowing that Messiah, having been raised from the dead, dies no more – death no longer rules over Him.
Rom 6:10 For in that He died, He died to sin once for all; but in that He lives, He lives to Elohim.
Rom 6:11 So you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to Elohim in Messiah Yeshua our Master.
Rom 6:12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, to obey it in its desires,
Rom 6:13 neither present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to Elohim as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to Elohim.
Rom 6:14 For sin shall not rule over you, for you are not under the law but under favour.
Rom 6:15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under Torah( no longer under the penalty of death, Yeshua paid the price but obedience is still required) . Let it not be!
Rom 6:16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves servants for obedience, you are servants of the one whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?
Rom 6:17 But thanks to Elohim that you were servants of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of teaching to which you were entrusted.
Rom 6:18 And having been set free from sin, you became servants of righteousness.
Rom 6:19 I speak as a man, because of the weakness of your flesh. For even as you did present your members as servants of uncleanness, and of lawlessness resulting in lawlessness, so now present your members as servants of righteousness resulting in set-apartness (holiness).
Rom 6:20 For when you were servants of sin, you were free from righteousness.
Rom 6:21 What fruit, therefore, were you having then, over which you are now ashamed? For the end thereof is death.
Rom 6:22 But now, having been set free from sin, and having become servants of Elohim, you have your fruit resulting in set-apartness, and the end, everlasting life.
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the favourable gift of Elohim is everlasting life in Messiah Yeshua our Master.
Regeneration into the Image of the Son
Yes, He loves you, yet this doesn’t mean He doesn’t want you to be regenerated into the very image of the Son, Our Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus). Yes, you may have dreams from God, visions, words of knowledge, and other gifts but that doesn’t mean thing if you’re not being transformed by them. He’s given the gifts He won’t take them back. In the end days, He pours out His Spirit on all flesh (Joel 2:28-32, Act2)
Many men of the Bible had spiritual gifts and anointings, yet Yah never let them get away with sin in their lives. It has not changed for us today. We are still accountable if not held to a greater accountability because with the Messiah redemption by His blood and His resurrection to life, and the gift of Holy Spirit, we should have no excuse why we are failing.
Joseph was bragging and telling his dreams to his family. This caused dissension and jealousy. So Joseph had to spend a time of suffering through hardships in order to humble him and bring him into the new man that could carry the mission put upon him.
So did David. He went through a period of Saul trying to kill him, yet still honoring the king, dealing with murderous relatives, commiting adultery and murder. Through some of his sins, he still had to pay a price although God was merciful to Him.
My point is. You cannot be in sin and not be held accountable, no matter how many gifts, anointing or great call you have on your life. Sin has to be revealed and dealt with. Learn what sin is, before you use the love of God as your panacea cure for everything. There is a requirement of obedience and to love Him.
Obeying His Word Shows Your Love
Joh 14:23 ????? Yeshua answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our stay with him.
Joh 14:24 “He who does not love Me does not guard My Words. And the Word which you hear is not Mine but of the Father Who sent Me.
1Jn 2:3 And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands.1 Footnote: 1See 3:6.
1Jn 2:4 The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1Jn 2:5 But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been perfected1 in him. By this we know that we are in Him.2 Footnotes: 1Gen. 17:1, Ps. 119:1, Mt. 5:48. 2See 3:24.
1Jn 2:6 The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked.
1 John 5:3
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands,1 and His commands are not heavy, Footnote: 1See 5:2, 2 John v. 6, John 14:15.
You Must Discard the Old Man
Eph 4:15 but, maintaining the truth in love, we grow up in all respects into Him who is the head, Messiah,
Eph 4:16 from whom the entire body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the working by which each part does its share, causes growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.
Eph 4:17 So this I say, and witness in the Master, that you should no longer walk as the gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, Footnote: 11 Cor. 12:2, and Jer. 10:2.
Eph 4:18 having been darkened in their understanding, having been estranged from the life of Elohim, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart,
Eph 4:19 who, having become callous, have given themselves up to indecency, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
Eph 4:20 But you have not so learned Messiah,
Eph 4:21 if indeed you have heard Him and were taught by Him, as truth is in Yeshua:
Eph 4:22 that you put off – with regard to your former way of life – the old man, being corrupted according to the desires of the deceit,
Eph 4:23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
Eph 4:24 and that you put on the renewed man which was created according to Elohim, in righteousness and set-apartness of the truth. Footnote: Rom. 8:1.
Eph 4:25 Therefore, having put off the false, speak truth, each one with his neighbour, for we are members of one another.
Eph 4:26 “Be wroth, but do not sin.” Do not let the sun go down on your rage,
Eph 4:27 nor give place to the devil.
Eph 4:28 Let him who stole steal no more, but rather let him labour, working with his hands what is good, so that he has somewhat to share with those in need.
Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt word come out of your mouth, but only such as is good for the use of building up, so as to impart what is pleasant to the hearers.
Eph 4:30 And do not grieve the Set-apart Spirit of Elohim, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and displeasure, and uproar, and slander be put away from you, along with all evil.
Eph 4:32 And be kind towards one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as Elohim also forgave you in Messiah.
There’s no doubt He loves us, but love doesn’t mean He’s condoning our believe in a lie, or justification of sin. I know many struggle with their identity, with homosexuality, commit adultery, fornicate, are drunkards, revilers, idolaters, boy-abusers, thieves, covetous ones, or rapacious ones. Yet, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 says if you do these things you “shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Spin it anyway you want, I don’t think you can go any further than what it says.
It may sound mean or even unfair, but our HOLY GOD, cannot allow the corruption within us, our flesh that is enmity against him to inherit His promises. We must fight them and we can defeat them. It is possible, if we believe and do the things He prescribes or employ what He has given us to overcome.
I once believed I was an alcoholic, adulterer, fornicator, addicted to pornography, a very bad husband and father, horrible son, could never change. However, when I gave all aspects of my life to Him. When I believed that the power of God was greater than the sin I knew. When I let Him begin to purge the things He disliked, even though I saw nothing wrong with them. Begin to fast and pray allowing myself to become totally His. I then began to have revelation of His Torah. That’s when true freedom from spirits that had been upon me since birth trying to establish a false identity had to go. They no longer had the legal right to plague me anymore. Also when I began to learn what set-apart (holiness) through the Torah meant, I was blown away at what I had been missing for years. Understanding of scripture, especially the New Testament, became a whole new adventure of understanding and freedom. The Messiah Yeshua is the Living Torah, that’s why He says in John 14:6 “I am, the Way, the Truth, and Life.” They understood the reference to Torah here. See Psalm 119, study it. They knew the Torah = teachings, instructions of God. There’s been a great misunderstanding and animosity against the Word of God (see John 1), His Torah, His instructions that has cost us much blessing and fullness of our inheritance.
Before you go please, take a look at these verses from Romans 8 and contemplate.
The Tools to Succeed Have Been Given to Us
“Rom 8:1 There is, then, now no condemnation to those who are in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus), who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Rom 8:2 For the Torah of the Spirit of the life in Messiah has set me free from the law of sin and of death.
Rom 8:3 For the Torah being powerless, in that it was weak through the flesh, Elohim, having His own Son in the likeness of flesh of sin, and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh,
Rom 8:4 so that the righteousness of the Torah should be completed in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Rom 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the matters of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the matters of the Spirit.
Rom 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace.
Rom 8:7 Because the mind of the flesh is enmity towards Elohim, for it does not subject itself to the Torah of Elohim, neither indeed is it able, Footnotes: “Or does not obey.” John 15:5, 1 John 4:4, 1 John 3:9, 1 John 5:18.
Rom 8:8 and those who are in the flesh are unable to please Elohim.
Rom 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of Elohim dwells in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Messiah, this one is not His.
Rom 8:10 And if Messiah is in you, the body is truly dead on account of sin, but the Spirit is life on account of righteousness.
Rom 8:11 And if the Spirit of Him who raised Yeshua from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Messiah from the dead shall also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit dwelling in you.
Rom 8:12 So then, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
Rom 8:13 For if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live.
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of Elohim, these are sons of Elohim.
Rom 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
Rom 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of Elohim,
(The Scriptures 1998+)
Please live led by the Spirit of Elohim, empowered by the Spirit of Elohim to obey and love. Love as defined by God. Not the world.
